Art, made to be worn.

I go to a lot of art conventions. Walk the aisles long enough and you will find a table full of work that would look incredible on a shirt. Prints, stickers, zines, all of it good. Apparel, almost never.

So I started asking artists why. The answer was nearly always the same: the supplier wants a minimum order. Fifty pieces, maybe a hundred, paid upfront, in sizes you can only guess at. If they do not sell, you are the one left holding forty shirts in a size nobody wanted. Most independent artists cannot afford that bet. The few who take it usually lose money the first time and never try again.

That is the problem Mixmi exists to fix. You upload your art and set your price, and that is your part done. Printing, packing, and delivery are on us. No minimum order, no money down, no boxes of unsold stock under your bed. Somebody buys a shirt, we print that one shirt, and your cut is yours.

There is one more part, and it is the one I am proudest of. Buyers here do not have to pick just one artist. They can mix several artworks onto the same piece, and every artist in that mix gets paid. Your work ends up on someone who came looking for somebody else.

None of this is meant to replace conventions. I still go, I still buy, and nothing beats getting a piece straight from the person who made it. Mixmi is one more place to sell, the one that keeps working long after the convention hall closes.
